Meet The Founder

Jasmin Russell, artistically known as, Jazzy Cherrie is a Baltimore-based artist, youth advocate, and the raw creative force behind Abstractly Unique LLC.Growing up in Baltimore, Jazzy faced her share of adversity early on. Navigating a tough childhood meant dealing with heavy pressures, instability, and challenges that many city youth know all too well. In the middle of that noise, she discovered a critical outlet in art—a safe space to process her world and release frustration. However, life’s demands took over, leading to a 15-year hiatus where her creative voice was put on pause.When Jazzy finally returned to her creative roots, she unlocked a completely new wave of self-expression through abstract art and wearable accessory design. This powerful comeback taught her that it is never too late to reclaim your narrative. She realized that unconventional creation is a powerhouse tool for processing life, transforming heavy emotions into personal power, and building deep emotional resilience.Having lived through the grind and experienced the life-changing impact of her own artistic rebirth, Jazzy founded Abstractly Unique LLC to build the exact space she needed when she was younger. By blending high-energy mentorship with hands-on fashion and abstract canvas work, she helps teens silence perfectionism, heal through creation, and step into their full potential. Through Abstractly Unique, Jazzy is dedicated to helping Baltimore’s youth survive, thrive, reclaim their stories, and wear their resilience out loud.

She graduated from Morgan State University in 2013 with a bachelor's in Sociology & Anthropology. Following which she worked in various Human Service position including DPSS.

She has been working as an art educator since 2019. In BCPS school through collaborative organizations.

In 2023 she obtained a therapeutic art life coaching certification which she used to hoan in on Youth Development
